Top 15 Diet Tips

#1 Drink plenty of water.  Six to eight glasses per day.  Your body expends more calories digesting cold water.  The single best tip for staying healthy and achieving a slimmer waist line. .

#2 Walk, Walk, Walk. Put as many extra steps into you daily routine as possible.  Try and walk for at least 30 minutes per day.  It will keep you slim and young.

#3 Eat something within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning.  Preferably fruit or bran but anything will start your body's engine and begin burning calories.

#4 Do not take food away from your diet. Instead of starving yourself, try adding a serving of fruit or vegetables to your meal.  Anything high in fiber. This will achieve a slimmer stomach

#5 Do not eat anything after dinner. No bedtime snacks.  If you feel hungry every night before bedtime, try eating dinner an hour later.

#6 Add spices to every meal.  Anything off the spice rack will do, including pepper (not salt). They give your food a robust taste and your body will expend extra energy during digestion.

#7 Make your diet public.  Tell all your friends, family, and co-workers that you are on a diet. Find a diet partner if possible.  It is easier to stick to a program when you are being held accountable.

#8 Do not let your diet ruin special occasions.  If there is a Wedding, event, or party you are attending, enjoy yourself. Be smart with your choices but realize a little mental health will go a long way to helping you reach your goals. But remember you are trying to keep a slimmer waist.

#9 Never Super Size.  Extra large portions lead extra large bodies. Large portions also stretch your stomach so you get used to eating that much food before you feel full.

#10 Eat protein at every meal.  Protein builds muscle mass which will burn calories even faster, especially if you are mixing aerobic exercise with resistance training.

#11 Eat on dark blue plates.  The color blue is the least appetizing to your subconscious and will save you untold calories for very little effort.

#12 Chew you food completely, eat slowly, and enjoy your meal.  This will allow your food to quickly digest. As a result, you will eat less food.

#13 Substitute 1 glass of juice for the real thing.  Instead of orange juice, eat the orange.  You will be more satisfied and will consume much less empty calories.

#14 Take it easy on breads and pasta.  It is no coincidence that every diet says to avoid these foods.  Some even state they are worse that fats and sugars.
